Mara Darmousli – born on August 15, 1981 in Ptolemaida, Greece – is a Greek former fashion model turned actress. She began her modeling career after winning the national final of Elite Model Look (Greece) and quickly gained international recognition, appearing on covers of magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire and Bazaar, and modeling for brands including Pantene, Nivea, Triumph, Garnier and others. In 2007 she was named “Model of the Year” in Greece. After modeling she transitioned into acting — she appeared in films and TV series, and has also worked in theatre.
