American actress, singer, and entertainment professional best known as
one of the original Mouseketeers on Disney’s iconic The Mickey Mouse
Club. A triple-threat performer from a young age, she combined singing,
dancing, and acting into a career that began in childhood and evolved
across multiple corners of the entertainment industry.
Tracey became a familiar face to audiences in the 1950s as one of only a
handful of Mouseketeers to appear in all three original seasons of The
Mickey Mouse Club. She also appeared in Disney productions including
Annette and the western Westward Ho, the Wagons! before transitioning
into live performances, television guest roles, and touring with her
band, Doreen and the Invaders—including shows for U.S. troops overseas
during the Vietnam era.
After stepping away from performing, Tracey built a second career behind
the scenes as a publicist for Warner Bros. Records, promoting major acts
such as Frank Zappa and The Doobie Brothers. She later worked in
production and even contributed as a consultant on Apocalypse Now,
drawing from her real-life experiences touring military bases.
Known for her independent spirit, Tracey once described herself as the
“black sheep” of the Mouseketeers—a reflection of her willingness to
take unconventional paths. In later years, she reconnected with Disney
and became a popular guest at fan conventions, where her legacy as a
beloved original Mouseketeer continued to resonate.
